DESCRIPTION:The 23rd Edition of the Southern Kaduna Prayer Summit brought together traditional rulers\, clergies\, and hundreds of worshippers in a spiritually charged event aimed at fostering peace and unity. \nHeld in Kafanchan\, Kaduna State\, the summit included special prayers offered by monarchs to cleanse the land of afflictions and curses\, marking a hopeful new chapter for Southern Kaduna. \nParticipants emphasized the importance of unity among residents\, urging them to rise above tribal\, religious\, and ethnic differences to ensure the progress and development of the region. \nSpeaking as the guest speaker\, the Anglican Bishop of Kano Diocese\, Bishop Zakka Nyam\, shared an optimistic vision for Southern Kaduna. His remarks\, centered on the theme of the summit\, “Come\, Let Us Reason Together” (Isaiah 1:18)\, highlighted the need for unity and sacrifice as key drivers of prosperity. Bishop Nyam encouraged attendees to pray for their leaders to govern with fairness and equity. \nIn a message delivered by the Deputy Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly\, Barr. Magaji Henry Danjuma\, Governor Uba Sani praised the summit organizers for their prayers and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fairness and justice in resource allocation and project execution. He also appealed for sustained peace to enhance socio-economic development in the region. \nApostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure\, Chairman of the Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SKCLA)\, expressed gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for recognizing Southern Kaduna after years of neglect by previous administrations.
