Initiative for Peace and Comfort (IPC) joins the rest of the world in celebration of the International Day of Education.

The theme for this year, “learning for lasting peace”, is crucial in a time like this to unite the world. This theme resonates deeply in a time when conflicts rage and hate speech festers.

We recognise education as an important weapon against intolerance, ignorance, and violence. It empowers individuals to understand, respect, and cooperate with diverse communities, building bridges over walls.

As an organization that has been in the fore front of peace education, conflict resolution and even promoting education, we will not rest on our oars in deploying all instruments of peace to liberate the world and make it a better place for all.

Like Martin Luther King Jr said, “Peace is not just the absence of conflict, it is the presence of Justice.” Justice prevails when there’s peace and we must learn for lasting peace.Happy International Day of Education.
